Your chance to VOTE is coming!!!!

Yes it is, and everyone in Singapore will have a chance to vote! In a fair and transparent process where all candidates are given equal access to the media. This is no snap elections and candidates will be given enough time to communicate with the voters so that there is a clear understanding of how they will perform after the election. There is no pork barrel politics and no candidate is allowed to make promises that are not kept. There will be no negative repurcussions for those who support them. Singaporeans will snap out of their apathy and enthusiastically participate in the election process listening to each candidate carefully to make their choice. People will make time and debate vigorously the merit of each candidate.....what I'm saying is all real and not fiction.

Of course, I'm not talking about the General Elections. Yes Singapore, YOU HAVE A CHOICE to vote the the next SINGAPORE IDOL in a process that is rigorous and fair. We Singaporeans are so lucky to have a chance to vote and have our votes counted. We will spend more time to elect our Singapore Idol over a period of 3 months longer than our General Elections which the PAP govt will allow only just more than a week for campaigning. The media tries to gives fair and equal representation to all finalists....debate on Singapore Idols on the internet is free and open. Singaporeans are so lucky to have this chance to elect their next Singapore Idol in a long rigorous thorough process that far exceeds that our snap General Elections.

We are so lucky that we have such a far sighted government in the PAP. They know that a PAP victory is inevitable, so one week of compaigning is more than enough -- why delay the inevitable?

What stupid opposition we have! They know that a PAP victory is inevitable and yet still dare to contest! Why trouble the voters when we all can sit at home and wait for the inevitable to happen? No wonder no one votes for the stupid opposition!

You are very funny putting Singapore Idol with GE! Ha Ha! Wondering when will GE be a Phone-in and SMS contest. Easier for every one.

Taufik for PM and Slyvester DPM. I think we just need to pay $10K for these 2 and they will keep us entertained and happy....which is what the PAP does anyway.

I voted during Singapore Idol for Olinda all the way. Its the only chance in my life to vote for anything. I was so sad when she got kicked out and had to make a living by losing weight.

To me the Singapore Idol is more important than the General Elections because I get a chance to vote.

Its not the chance to vote that makes Singapore Idol more important then GE.

Its because our votes really do counts and will influence the final outcome that makes Singapore Idol more meaningful then GE.
