Someone emailed me this picture.

Does anyone know what this is about? Even the big walk does have a turnout like this. Somebody must be offering a free gift or something for all these Singaporeans to turn up.

This was taken from the WP rally at Hougang, 30.4.06. Huge crowd indeed!

Tonight, PAP will be having its rally on the same spot! Will they be able to draw such huge crowd! I wonder...

I simply hate it when WP candidates criticise the PAP government. Seriously, the ministers'pay should not even be an issue at the elections. How in the world do you expect to get top talents for the government if they were to earn less than $1m per annum. Even the worldclass football players get multimillion deals, there is simply no reason why worldclass politicians don't command that kind of salary. Singaporeans deserve the best, what in the world are those opposition candidates thinking?
They should go bother themselves with that Gomez fiasco instead, and help that poor fellow with his "distractions" that had undermined the integrity of our elections process.

i think the 2nd anonymous should compare his salary and the minister's salary, and bear in mind most of the PAP ministers are part timers. If he still think that the minister's salary are still justifiable, then God help you :)

I dun remember WP raising that issue. I thought it is SDP which is raising that issue.

By the way is James Gomez form "fiasco" the "real issue" of this election?!?

"where is the beef?"

WHAT??? A Petition??? How can we let the matter rest? It's an attack on the integrity of the elections process. We must get to the bottom of it. That's the job of our highly paid ministers. Surely nothing is more important than that? Why talk about the water conservation taxes or rising costs of living when something so important has cropped up? We ought to feel lucky that we have ministers who care about the issues that really matters.

So the petition is to support Gomez? i'm confused...
