FEER has applied to have the defamation lawsuit moved to Hong Kong.
Why are they so silly to do that? If they lose in Hong Kong, they will end up paying our esteemed leaders a lot.....and it is enforceable if the case is won in Hong Kong.
Our esteemed leaders have been so kind to sue them in Singapore because they only have 3 employees and 1000 subscribers here. ...and if they lose, it is likely they don't have to pay up because they are located in Hong Kong.

FEER may just win in HK. The odds on anyone taking on the S'pore govt in front of S'pore judges is NOT good at all...
But I'm glad that FEER is fighting, instead of publishing an apology and paying uncontested damages, like the many magazines/newspapers before. A public fight may just tease out all the skeletons in the closet. How can we forget how spectecularly TT Durai shot himself in the foot for suing ST... Hahaha
The lawsuit is damaging to Singapore.
After the fiasco of the FMI Singapore does not need more bad publicity.
You should read this and publish it.

I'm thinking of organising with a few friends "burning of FEER". Unfortunately, that is not allowed as it's an illegal assembly
gwailo> this lawsuit will be so bad for s;pore! it will expose too much ! the negative publicity will hurt our pockets ! It will increase the courage of the ppl ! oh wat horrendous damage !
