More than just a Mentor....

"Last February, a USSPN Washington Regional Coordinator was present during a report given by an international lawyer from Singapore, Thio Su Mien (Su), who is gifted in prophetic intercession and healing. She shared about some of the things going on in the area of Indonesia before the tsunami. She explained how the SARS virus hit Singapore a year prior to the earthquake/tsunami. The Lord alerted the intercessors and told them that if they did not get on their faces and repent on behalf of their nation's involvement in abortion as the contraceptive of choice, that the land would suffer from His hand of judgment. Because they saw how devastating the SARS virus had been, the intercessors immediately took action to seek His mercy and forgiveness. Singapore was not touched by the earthquake disaster. The Malaysian intercessors joined them in diligent prayer and also opened healing rooms in Kuala Lampur. The area on the Northern Coast of Malaysia was hit hard. There are amazing stories of God's grace and mercy in saving souls and lives there. It was the prayers of the intercessors that had saved the disaster from affecting an even larger area. She emphasized that the intercessors crying out with repentance and asking for mercy, along with declarations of the Word of God over the land (both written and rhema), released the curse upon the land and the people were spared. It was a plea for intercessors to step up to the plate and continue to press into God for mercy from judgment coming."
.
I would like to thank Dr. Thio for her intercession to prevent the tsunami from hitting Singapore. All along I thought Singapore was not hit because we were shielded by land masses in our vicinity but I guess I was wrong. Unfortunately, too many Singaporeans have sinned by undergoing abortion and that caused the SARS to spread to Singapore. Thank goodness the govt now encourages Singaporeans to have more babies these days and not to go for abortion otherwise we would be hit badly by the current swine flu.

ROFL and she must be one of those crazy fundamentalists who thought that the tsunami was a form of divine intervention sent by her Lord to cleanse our world of pagans and heathens.

Onlooker said...

LOL She will use any misfortune to justify her cause.

She's sure crazy but I think we shouldn't keep making fun of her especially when she is down.

As much as I dislike her views, I kind of feel sorry for her.

She is dangerous! She can cause much more damages to Singapore and the region than MAS Selamat. She should be in Whitney Center and kept away from any toilet.

Have anyone wondered, where is Thio Li Ann amidst this chaos?

I would think she would be brave enough to stand alongside this gang of seven plus Thio mum.
But no, she's hiding in the closet to prevent smearing her political portfolio of NMP, right?

Will she come out of the closet to make a standpoint? I betcha NO :-)

I am not a Christian. I do however believe that the tsunami is some form of divine message or something.

However, I do NOT believe that TSM had anything to do with it, or that such disasters were prevented by her, or even her so-called praying sessions were somehow responsible for removing SARS from Singapore.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

"Oh Lord, we thank thee for sending us Thio Su Mien, who did -through the power of her prayer- place the big island of Sumatra in the way of the wave of judgement that could have stricken Singapore were it not for the presence of Sumatra in its path. Never mind the 4.5 million Christians that did live in Sumatra. Amen."

Could she be one of the mediums that God has warned us about?

Hi Lucky,

How about writing something about the "Recession Hero" publish in the shitty time, I think, weekly or the NTUC "Fairprice" advertisment.

I feel sick whenever I came across such brainwashing articles or programs. I would like to write something about them, but I am no good at writing and I hope you or someone can do it.

OH MY GOD

WHAT SHIT

Now I know, when the Christians God created Adam and Eve, there was some much INCEST that produces nutcases like THIO who has ZERO IQ for Geography and Science.

We also know why our NUS Lawyers and Legal services are so pathetically weird and screwed in their judgements.

THAT 2000 YEAR OLD BOOK - hahahahahaha

Thanks Lucky

My father who was English educated, was a teacher and retired as a primary principal, after the tsunami said, 'Thank God for the PAP that nothing happened to Singapore'. Needless to say, we were stumped as to why he would say such as thing. I would'nt be surprised that many of the 66.6 have thoughts like this. Singapore would not have been successful if not for the PAPies according to their bible. The fact that Singapore's excellent geographic location has never crossed their minds.

Fantastic! Well done Lucky Tan. I haven't laughed so much in my life. Brilliant!

When I was in church, hearing about intercessors and people fasting so that God won't be angry sounded pretty normal to me.

But when I read about the same stuff on the Net, I can't but help wonder if anyone was really nutty enough to believe that God spared us not because He is merciful in nature, but because some guy asked God not to kill us.

It makes God look bad; like a vengeful monster. And it makes us humans naive, for actually swallowing such hogwash.

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! Thanks, Lucky!

On one hand, they reject scientific explanations for disasters and illnesses like SARS, and on the other they have no problem accepting science when it benefits them.

I would have some respect for these fundies if they practiced what they preached e.g. reject science - use horses for their transport, don't use electricity, reject modern medicine.

Selective delusion?

George Carlin:

When it comes to bullshit, big-time, major league bullshit, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. No contest. Religion. Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy Shit!

I like this website.
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2008/05/10-reasons-you-should-never-have-a-religion/

Especially this part:

3. Engineered obedience training.

Religions are authoritarian hierarchies designed to dominate your free will. They’re power structures that aim to convince you to give away your power for the benefit of those who enjoy dominating people. When you subscribe to a religion, you enroll in a mindless minion training program. Religions don’t market themselves as such, but this is essentially how they operate.

Religions are very effective at turning human beings into sheep. They’re among the most powerful instruments of social conditioning. They operate by eroding your trust in your own intellect, gradually convincing you to put your trust into some external entity, such as a deity, prominent figure, or great book. Of course these instruments are usually controlled by those who administrate the minion training program, but they don’t have to be. Simply by convincing you to give your power away to something outside yourself, religion will condition you to be weaker, more docile, and easier to control. Religions actively promote this weakening process as if it were beneficial, commonly branding it with the word faith. What they’re actually promoting is submission.

She is either an extremely delusional person or a fantastic manipulator of fear and greed.

Which do you think she is? =)

Why is it that anyone who claim themselves mentor is those crazy and unsound ?

If what she said is true then God must be very pleased with PAP fixing the opposition party and buying supporter's vote because 66% vote endup 98% PAP MPs in parliament. 50% are allowed to vote, and among them 66% vote for PAP , and this translate to 66% of whole singapore population. Wow, God must have enlightened me . God bless the Lee Dynasty !

No God can justify the murder of innocent lives. you do not slaughter half a million people just to make a point.

the official numbers of the dead from the asia tsunami was few, but you can go down to aceh and ask, the unofficial body count is more than 500,000 people. ask the volunteers who worked in the relief effort.

So Thio Su Mien claims to be a prophet? Did she prophesize what would happen on 2 May 2009 at Suntec City Hall?

I'm sure our PAP govt can pay millions to use her.

First she claimed she can cure homosexuals - our PAP leaders would be relieved no more headache about our declining population.

Then she claimed Spore was saved from Tsunami because she prayed hard enough, but then not hard enough so it will not hit Indonesia/Malaysia/Thailand/Sri Lanka/Myammar misery - which also means she did not give a damn that the Tsunami caused so much to others as she did not pray for them.

For an Ex-dean, so silly with no IQ meh ? .

I wondered if she saw the Financial Crisis coming and this prolonged recession in Singapore, which for ordinary mortals, which includes people in the government too, is without an end in sight yet.

Or she missed it altogether just like SARS.

And this is because of the sins AWARE have committed? Or the nation's permissive LGBT lifestyles. or perhaps the sins of MOE for teaching Evolution in schools.
